agnoStack Takes Over Zendesk Magento 1 Extension

Chicago, IL, USA - September 7th, 2020 - agnoStack, provider of world's first platform agnostic, omni-channel commerce solution built natively on Zendesk, is announcing the transition of support for Zendesk's Magento 1 Extension from Zendesk to the agnoStack engineering team. This transition has been planned for many months and has been completed in partnership with Zendesk to ensure a smooth transition.

agnoStack will continue to provide ongoing support for all customers running the existing version of the Magento 1 Extension together with the agnoStack plugin, as well as take over the overall product roadmap, backlog and release cycle for the Magento Extension. In addition to supporting the current version of the Extension, agnoStack also plans to continue to enhance the integration, fixing existing defects as well as adding new functionality to support customers still running Magento 1.

The agnoStack team is committed to supporting Magento 1 customers for as long as they'd like to remain on that platform version. In addition, agnoStack provide seamless migration for customers upgrading to Magento 2 as well as other eCommerce platforms. "Our Magento 1 customer base has been with us from the beginning and we're excited to be able to better support their ongoing needs, as well as enhance their agnoStack experience by now being able to enhance the Extension with new features." noted Adam Grohs, Founder and CEO at agnoStack.

agnoStack will plan to release a new 3.0.0 version of the Extension in coming weeks, shortly after taking over support. Customers using the existing 2.4.0 or older version of the Extension are strongly encouraged to upgrade to the new version as soon as it is generally available. The 3.0.0 release will fix a number of customer reported issues and improve the agnoStack plugin experience - all at no additional cost; it will also enable the ability to support agnoStack's Professional Tier should a customer want to upgrade.

The upcoming 3.0.0 release will allow Magento 1 customers access to the agnoStack Professional Tier adding the following new features:

  • Perform advanced Customer Search
  • View real-time Shipping Status
  • Access detailed Payment Status
  • Enable direct Order Search by ID
  • Access Order Messages and Notes

Rob Bowers, agnoStack's CTO, added "As we continue to innovate on our integrations with Zendesk, taking over full control of the Magento 1 Extension is both an exciting and necessary step in allowing us to continue to release new features at a much faster rate than users have had in the past. We are tremendously excited about bringing our Professional Tier to the Magento 1 community and helping them better support their customers."
